Lani Guerra, LMT
I have always had a strong desire to have a meaningful career that lets me contribute to the welfare of others. As a result, I am passionate about my work, and find that giving massage is just as rewarding as receiving it!
When I started massage school in 2010, I gained a deeper respect for holistic healing and kinesiology. One of my favorite courses was called Psychology of the Body. It never ceases to amaze me how much not only physical stress, but also mental and emotional stress can wreak havoc and cause pain in the body.
My internship, volunteer work, and past work have allowed me to experience different types of massage atmospheres, where I picked up some great techniques from my mentors. That’s when I realized that I love to find imbalances that contribute to pain. Getting as close to the root cause of pain, rather than treating the symptoms is exciting to me, like solving a puzzle! Since then, my therapy has helped facilitate healing and relieve pain from injuries, stress, and body discomfort.
When I am not massaging, I enjoy learning how to cook/bake/make/do new things, spending time with my friends and family, playing with my cat, and finding zen on my yoga mat.
I am so excited to be part of your journey towards balance and peace!
